Un maillon PARAFLY AUTOMATIC D’AUSTRIALPIN a cédé
lors du gonflage d’un parapente.

Ce maillon avait été utilisé pendant 3 ans sur des vols de test DHV.

       

Après enquête, il paraît probable que la finition nickel-chrome
aurait initié des criques dans l’aluminium du maillon.

Tout au long de son utilisation, les criques ont grandi
pour finalement conduire à la rupture du maillon.

En accord avec le fabricant Austrialpin, 
le DHV a décidé de prendre la mesure de sécurité suivante:

Tous les maillons Parafly Automatic avec une finition chromée
ne doivent plus être utilisés.

Ce modèle de maillon existe en plusieurs finitions.

Seule la finition brillante chromée est concernée par le problème.

L'examen approfondi du matériel qui a cédé en Tchéquie est terminé.
Il n'a été constaté ni erreur de fabrication, ni défaut du matériel.

La cassure s'est produite sur un effort violent alors que la partie
mobile qui s'enclenche pour fermer le maillon était ouverte.

                

En cas de doute sur l’identification du maillon, le fabricant:

 NOTE ORIGINALE 

One aluminium harnesscarabiner Parafly Automatic by Austrialpin 
broke while starting a paraglider in the Czech Republic.

This carabiner has been used over a period of two years during paragliding flight.

The material investigation in the Czech Republic, is complete.
A fault in the material, or the manufacturing process could not be found. 
The breaking must be due to overload on the carabiner whith the lock open.

The airworthiness instruction from 21.05.2003 regarding the harnesscarabiner 
Parafly Automatic from AustriAlpin is not effective anymore.

Karabinerbrüche in Brasilien



Gebrochene Karabiner <CLICK>

Dem DHV sind aus Brasilien zwei gebrochene Gurtzeugkarabiner 
Parafly Automatic von AustriAlpin zugesendet worden. 

Beide Karabiner haben deutliche Gebrauchsspuren, 
die auf ein unsachgemäßen Gebrauch hinweisen. 
Es befinden sich Materialabplatzungen und Einkerbungen am Karabiner. 
Die Angaben aus Brasilien zur Nutzung, Betriebsdauer und dem 
Bruchhergang sind nicht zweifelsfrei überprüfbar. 
Die Nutzungsdauer eines dieser Karabiners wird mit ca. 350 
Betriebsstunden angegeben. 
Laut dem Hersteller Austrialpin sind die Produktionsjahre 
dieser Karabiner 1999 und 2001. 
Das Bruchbild deutet jeweils auf einen Ermüdungsbruch mit 
anschließendem Gewaltbruch hin.

Der DHV empfiehlt allen Gleitschirmpiloten: 

Wenn ein Karabiner sichtbare Beschädigungen aufweist oder nicht ordnungsgemäß 
funktioniert, z.B. der Schnapper klemmt oder das Schließen mit Handkraft 
unterstützt werden muss, müssen diese Karabiner umgehend ausgetauscht werden. 
Vor jedem Start sollte zusätzlich eine Sicht- und Funktionskontrolle erfolgen 
die sicherstellt, dass die Karabiner tatsächlich geschlossen sind. 
Dies gilt unabhängig vom Fabrikat des Karabiners. Die Lebensdauerangaben der 
Karabinerhersteller beziehen sich nur auf unbeschädigte und funktionstüchtige 
Verbindungselemente.
