Paraglider Harness with integrated Safety System 

On a paraglider harness with an integrated safety equipment 
container the fixing of the splint rope to the strap of the 
release handle was not suitable because of a failure in the sewing. 

The same construction piece has been used 
on all the paraglider harnesses :

Sup Air Race, 
Paratech A1, 
Sup Air Profeel Race, 
Paratech Sup Air A 2, 
Paratech B1, 
UP Action LX, and Passenger.
 
Therefore all the harnesses of this pattern could be affected. 

In agreement with the companies Aerosport and UP-Europe the DHV has, 
as a precaution, decided on the following safety measures: 

On all paraglider harnesses referred to above the sewing of 
the "splint rope", marked with an x, on the belt of the safety 
release handle is to be tested to a load of at least 20kg. 

Those which fail must be reworked. 
This airworthiness instruction came into force when it was published 
in the News for Paragliders and Hang Gliders (NfGH).
 
The safety measures must be carried out 
before the equipment is used again.
 
The check can be carried out by the owner of the harness.

Lufttüchtigkeitsanweisung  
Gleitsegelgurtzeuge mit integriertem Rettungssystem 

 
Am einem Gleitsegelgurtzeug mit integriertem Rettungsgerätecontainer 
war die Befestigung des Splintseils am Gurtband des Auslösegriffs wegen 
eines Nähfehlers unzureichend. 

Von den Firmen Aerosport und UP-Europe werden an allen Gleitsegelgurtzeugen 
Sup Air Race, 
Paratech A 1, 
Sup Air Profeel Race, 
Paratech Sup Air A 2, 
Paratech B 1, 
UP Action LX und Passenger 
die gleichen Bauteile verwendet. 

Betroffen können deshalb alle Gurtzeuge dieser Muster sein.

In Übereinstimmung mit den Firmen Aerosport und UP-Europe hat der DHV 
vorsorglich folgende Sicherheitsmaßnahmen getroffen: 

An allen oben genannten Gleitsegelgurtzeugen ist die mit (X) gekennzeichnete 
Vernähung des Splintseils am Gurtband des Auslösegriffs durch Ziehen mit 
einer Kraft von mindestens 20 kg zu überprüfen.
 
Fehlerhafte Auslösegriffe müssen nachgearbeitet werden.
 
Die Lufttüchtigkeitsanweisung tritt mit Veröffentlichung in den Nachrichten 
für Gleitsegel- und Hängegleiterführer (NfGH) in Kraft. 
Die Sicherheitsmaßnahmen müssen vor der nächsten Benutzung durchgeführt sein.

Die Überprüfung kann durch den Halter des Gurtzeuges durchgeführt werden.
